First get your donor car - I used a Jaguar XJ40, similar to this. Then totally dismantle it, piece by piece.
Engine and 'box out. And then you have all these parts - too late to put it back together!
Started by re-furbishing the parts I'm gonna use. Engine and 'box after brush-up and paint
Aligned the front and rear axles, then bolted to the floor. Built the chassis between the axles - hope it's all straight.
Seam welding the underneath, much easier with the chassis on it's side. Constructing the front bulkhead and installing the Jag door frames.
Trial fitting the engine and 'box - a few adjustments are needed. Creating the pig mould to make the body panels.
Finished front pig mould. Front end fresh out of the mould - after a little wash.
Front end fitted, trial fit of doors with new skins and running boards. Rear tub just out of the mould.
So this is how it will look! With a coat of primer. Roof moulding in place. It will be in three parts.
With the passenger and driver roof sections removed (they will fit in the boot). Interior woodwork in burr elm by Chapman and Cliff - lovely job.
Mocking up the interior. Dashboard - trial fitting.
Interior in blue and black Alcantara, end of the dry build - now full strip down for paint. Underneath getting it's coat of epoxy paint. So why the yellow paint underneath? I want to be able to see what I'm doing!
Grill fitted - inspired by the door cards of a SS100 (Jaguar).
Now all these wires connect to something, I think.
Dashboard, heater and gauges fitted.
Young Scott and his colleague fitting the windscreen.
Behind the seats.

Petrol tank, battery and jack, etc. fitted in the boot.
Dash framework and centre console in place.
Rear roof having its' glass fitted by Scott.
Let there be lights, glass, roof and doors!
Inside almost finished.

Well, here is the finished article. I thought -not bad for a first attempt! Now for the IVA test, er...............
